I'm John Hodsdon. I've spent many years working with restoration and other home services business owners.
This site is where I share what I'm learning about AI, in plain words. It is for owners and managers who are already trying AI, or thinking about it.
You know how your business actually works. Crews, trucks, change orders, the steps that never get written down. That knowledge is the starting point. AI can help you put it to work, one small project at a time.
I don't have a secret tool. I write down what I'm seeing, and I put it in a white paper, three books, a free course, and a weekly email. Read what helps. Skip what doesn't.

How I think about a first project
Start with the work, not the tool
Ask what "good" looks like in your shop before you start building with AI.
Keep the first build small
One problem. Try it on real jobs. Keep it if it helps. Drop it if it doesn't.
Write the steps down
If the know-how stays in one person's head, the business loses it when that person leaves.
